Rita Ora Bio

Rita Ora, a British musician and singer. Rita Sahatciu Ora was born in 1990 in Pristina (Kosovo) to Vera (Bajraktari), and Besnik Sahatciu. Besim Sahatciu is the granddaughter of her mother. Her family relocated to the United Kingdom at age 1. She was born in West London. She attended St Cuthbert with St Matthias CE Primary School, Earls Court. After that she graduated from Sylvia Young Theatre School followed by St Charles Catholic Sixth Form College. She began singing at a young stage of her life. In 2004, she was a part of the British film Spivs. After a successful audition for Eurovision The Country That requires You (BBC One) She was selected to represent the United Kingdom in the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest. She was later unable to participate in the competition after a few episodes, feeling that the stage wasn't in good condition. Ora made her debut music in 2007 when she was featured on Craig David’s song entitled "Awkward" followed by another appearance on "Where’s Your Love" featuring TinchyStryder. Ora started singing in bars throughout London and in 2009 A&R reported to Roc Nation about Ora, a few days after Ora took a flight to New York and met Jay-Z. Ora was featured in Jay-Z's 2009 video for "Young Forever" as well as "Over" by Drake. Jay-Z saw Ora and shrewdly signed her with Roc Nation. She was part of a commercial that featured Skullcandy Aviator Headphones. Her father Besnik was a bar owner and she started her singing career from the same bar. Gwen Stefani is a major influence on her character. She also mentions her father Besnik who was a bar owner. The actress is close to Kate Moss, and Ed Sheeran.
