Piper Perabo has been nominated for an
Golden Globe as a stage actress, television and film actor. She was born in
Dallas and raised in New Jersey. Coyote Ugly was her breakout role. Since then,
she's been seen in such films as Christopher Nolan's "The Prestige"
with Hugh Jackman and Christian Bale, "Because I Said So" with Diane
Keaton and "First Snow" which starred Guy Pearce, "Cheaper by
the Dozen" films with Steve Martin, "Imagine Me & You"
with Lena Heady and Matthew Goode and the crime thriller "10th Wolf"
featuring an ensemble cast, which included James Marsden and Dennis Hopper.
Perabo was in the film alongside Bruce Willis (with Joseph Gordon Levitt),
Emily Blunt and Jeff Daniels in Rian John's sci-fi action flick "Looper".
Perabo was Annie Walker on USA Network's spy drama "Covert Affairs"
for five seasons. She was a part of ABC's legal drama "Notorious" in
2016. "And she will next appear on Netflix in "Turn Up Charlie"
with Idris Elba. In Neil LaBute's controversial play, "Reasons to be Pretty",
Perabo made her Broadway debut. She was nominated by the Tony for the Best
Play. Perabo is also an activist, besides her roles on the stage and the
screen. Perabo is an active Voice for the International Rescue Committee,
raising awareness about refugees' plight around the world and helping those
affected by religious persecution and oppression in the form of conflict and
politics. Piper lives in Los Angeles and New York City. The 1994 Toms River
High School North class graduated Piper. She was a part of the school's four
musicals. Senior year she was Katie in Me In St. Louis, junior year she was
Cousin Fan and Lady Brighton in Mame; sophomore year she was Lady Brighton and
Lady Brighton respectively. During freshman year she was a dancer and choreographer
in How to Succeed In Business Without Really Trying. In high school, she served
as the president of the National Honor Society and the editor of the school's
literary magazine, Polaris. At the time of her high school graduation, she was
a member of the Marinerettes as a dancer in the field show during football
games.
