Katey Sagal was a versatile and gifted
performer who can perform both drama and comedy. In the 1980s, she became a
household favorite as Peg Bundy on the Fox series Married... with Children
(1987). The show was awarded two American Comedy Awards and three Golden Globes
during the series' lengthy duration. Peg Bundy's character was well-known and
Katey continued to make a name for herself as a performer, not just in sitcoms,
but playing roles that were quite different from the role that caught her to
the attention of. In 2008, for instance, she took on the role of Gemma Teller
Morrow, the mother of a Hell'sAngels-like California biker gang in the show
Sons of Anarchy (2008), and in 2011 her portrayal earned her a Golden Globe
Award for Best Performance by an Actress in the Television Drama Series.

Sagal, a noted television and film director. The Los Angeles native began
performing at the age of 5 and then trained in acting and voice at the
California Institute of the Arts in Valencia, California. As a waitress who

"The Group Without a name," then caught a break after hooking up with
Gene Simmons and his 1970s rock group KISS. She was also a backup vocalist for
Simmons and other well-known stars such as Bob Dylan, Olivia Newton-John and
Tanya Tucker. She also performed with a lot of energy in live performances with
